Car Sharing
Car sharing is exactly what the name suggests; when two or more people travel to work together instead of in separate cars. It can contribute to reduced road congestion, ease demand on limited car parking and reduced environmental damage by staff getting to and from work. Car sharing can be as flexible as you choose, is totally voluntary and all about improving travel choice.
Our scheme is free to use and open to all businesses at Cardiff Gate Business Park. Simply register your details, where you are travelling to and from and whether you’re offering or seeking a lift.

Before venturing into a car share, please read the below safety guidelines.
Safety
The car sharing scheme is purely a matching service and we cannot take any responsibility for the subsequent actions of matched parties. In order that this service runs smoothly and safely you should follow some common-sense guidelines:
• Users must be aged 18 or over.
• Always meeting in a public place such as work reception
• Only accept a passenger or accept a lift with a driver who has registered on the site.
• Contact in the first instance should be by e-mail. When you have agreed journey requirements then exchange telephone numbers and finalise travel arrangements
• Always let someone else know whom you are car sharing, and of your time schedule for collection and destination
• Take ID (driving licence / passport) with you and expect to see some form of ID from the match person. A utilities bill is useful to confirm addresses.
• Passengers should request the registration number, colour, make and model of the driver's car.
• Drivers are requested to show passengers their insurance and MOT certificates.
• You are under no obligation to get into the car with, or offer a lift to, any other person. You do so entirely at your own risk
- Report any car sharing problems to the scheme administrator
